Man City have had horrific season – Haaland

Manchester City have had a horrific season according to Erling Haaland, the Borussia Dortmund striker who has been linked with a move to the Premier League champions.

In an interview with a local newspaper, Haaland stated, “Man City have not been up to their usual standard this season. They have struggled to find their form and have suffered some humiliating defeats.”

The Norwegian striker went on to say, “It’s been a tough year for them and it’s not what we are used to seeing from such a top team. They need to regroup and come back stronger next season.”

Man City have faced disappointment in both domestic and European competitions this season, failing to defend their Premier League title and crashing out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage.

Haaland’s comments have added fuel to the speculation linking him with a move to the Etihad Stadium, with City reportedly ready to break the bank to sign the prolific striker.

City boss Pep Guardiola has reportedly made Haaland his number one target this summer as he looks to bolster his squad and mount a stronger challenge for silverware next season.

However, Haaland’s words will come as a blow to the current City squad, who will be eager to prove their critics wrong and bounce back from a disappointing campaign.
