I’m not a clown – Spurs boss Postecoglou
Tottenham Hotspur manager, Antonio Postecoglou, has hit back at critics who have labelled him a “clown” following a string of poor performances by the team.
In a recent press conference, Postecoglou stated, “I am not here to entertain the fans like a clown. I am here to lead this team to success and I will do whatever it takes to achieve that.”
The Australian manager has come under fire for his tactics and team selection, with some fans questioning his ability to lead the team to glory.
However, Postecoglou remains defiant, saying, “I have a clear vision for this team and I am confident that we will turn things around. I am not here to please everyone, I am here to win.”
Despite the criticism, Postecoglou has received backing from some players, with captain Harry Kane stating, “The manager has our full support. We believe in his methods and we are all working hard to improve.”
Postecoglou concluded, “I understand the frustration of the fans, but I urge them to be patient. We are working tirelessly behind the scenes to get back to winning ways.”
Only time will tell if Postecoglou can silence his critics and lead Tottenham to success in the upcoming season.
